Sisters Gertrude, Scolastica and Regina couldn't have been more gracious as fourteen women from our women's group visited Queen of Peace Monastery on Friday, April 26th! We were greeted with smiles, hugs, dogs, goats, chickens, a bull and cow! After a tour of the grounds, Sister Regina gave a wonderful talk about the early years of St. Margaret Mary. Afterward, we joined the Sisters in Midday Prayer, enjoyed lunch, (wonderfully prepared by Pam Murphy and Alison Curtin). After lunch, we made our way back into the Chapel where we prayed the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. Our visit ended with a photo op with the Sisters, and as we headed back to StMM, we reflected on this great visit and the amazing Sisters of Queen of Peace Monastery.
From Sister Gertrude:
Dear Women of St. Margaret Mary,
Thank you so much for your visit and your very kind and generous donation. It was so sweet of you! Thank you also for all the wonderful lunches and snacks you left! We pray that the graces of the day will remain with you forever. Be assured of our love, prayers and gratitude...
Yours in the Lord,
Sr. Gertrude
